I’m an enthusiastic mechanical engineer with professional experience in the automotive engineering industry, focused on powertrain testing and validation. I am skilled in SolidWorks, 3D scanning, reverse engineering, 3D printing, Microsoft Excel, and VBA coding, with exposure to NVH analysis, team leadership, project management, and risk assessment.
My engineering path began in 2013 at Vermont Technical College (VTC) through the Vermont Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), a dual-enrollment program that allowed me to complete college-level coursework as a high school senior. I later earned my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 2019, where I completed six semesters of full-time co-op experience. Thanks to my early start at VTC, I was able to take on two additional co-op terms, graduating with 18 months of professional experience.
My first two co-ops were with Rochester Gear and Special Metals (PCC Metals Group), where I was a manufacturing engineer. I completed my final co-op at Magna Powertrain as a product concepts engineer before transitioning into a full-time role at Honda in Russells Point, Ohio, where I worked as a transmission and product engineer. From there, I relocated to Troy, Michigan, for a vehicle verification role at Magna Powertrain. I currently work at Martin Motor Sports in New Hudson as a performance & prototype development engineer, where I continue to build my skills through hands-on engineering and vehicle-focused projects.
While attending RIT, I was a dedicated member of the Baja SAE team for five years. I designed, prototyped, and validated two fully custom gearboxes with custom housings for the collegiate off-road racing vehicle. The team earned four podium finishes from 2016 to 2019 in the North American series. Through this experience, I gained practical knowledge in DFM/A, FEA, DFMEA, system integration, and design validation testing across the full design cycle.
